Just Stop

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. (Psalm 23:1-3).

Thoughts some Christians naturally lay down. Their tendency and their behaviors were normal, expected, good citizens. They tend to not stray as the world sees it. Although scripture points out that if we say we do not sin... So we need to be careful in thinking Christians in appearance do not wander. The point trying to make though is that some Christians find it easier to not wander, to eat in green pastures; while other Christians had a more troubled past. Shepherd may have fewer troubles with them, the herd. While Satan uses their past sins, their past lives, their weaker beliefs, and their weaker scripture knowledge to lead them astray. They wander and get into troubles. The wandering brings on some of their problems. Our problems are not always from God, sometimes we just do stupid things with our free will.

King David was a "... man after his own heart" (1 Samuel 13:14). How does this compare to the laying down sheep? Why didn't God say this denomination of church has a heart like God? Thoughts to follow up on.

12.4.2022 Meditation

"Just Have Faith" Can be like saying to a person bleeding to death...just stop bleeding... We know just stop bleeding will help us, but then there is the doing it. In this case having enough faith for the trial. We know that by faith we are saved...just have faith. We also know it is not the word faith that saves us.

The world says ....Satan whispers ... Just do this ....does God say "Just" ?

World hated me...Christ says ...so when the world says ...just ...means don't listen. Just do this and you will be happy. Christ says you will be persecuted. Listening "Even If" song by MercyMe, where it says "Held to the flame", sometimes we are holding the flame to ourselves tempting God with what will you do God? Manipulating God.

10.2022 Meditations

"I Heard the Bells" movie trailer when they say ".... a poets voice silenced by grief". Was Job silenced by grief? Was his testimony of God silenced, or changed with his grief? Are we silenced by grief, our witness, our testimony, our praising God?

Another quote ..."you are that bell and you are not done writing". Is this a reminder to me that I am not done giving praise to God?
