We were expecting another child soon.  Had most of what we needed, just needed one more thing, but it was almost two hundred dollars, and we were struggling to keep up with the bills. The baby shower had covered a lot of our needs.  I can't remember what it was we still needed as it was about 10 years ago now, but we remember events around it.

We pulled into a gas station, gasing up and it came up, maybe we should play the lottery, help God to help us.  I don't even know where it came from but started loosely quoting Matthew 4:7 "Tempt not the Lord thy God.". Actually, it goes "...Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.". We didn't buy the lottery tickets, and went home. As soon as we arrived home we were getting the mail, and there was an anonymous letter in the mail.  Upon opening the letter, there was $200 enclosed, the exact amount we still needed for the last baby item we wanted to get.

Maybe it was just a coincidence as some might say, or as we believe God provided for our needs when we were struggling with recovering from an unexpected job loss, mortgage,  and bills.  We were both working again, but it was taking a while to recover.
