Evening Thoughts - Job Study; 10/9/2022

And the Lord said unto Satan, ... a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? (Job 1:8).

What is Perfect?

Genesis 17:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God' walk before me, and be thou perfect.

Listening to Whitney Houston "When You Believe" song, lyrics "...when your blinded by your pain, can't see your way through the rain....there can be miracles when you believe". Thoughts go to can't see God's word clearly when we are blinded by the pain. All we can see is the pain.

10.09.2022 Morning office meditation: Just read quick note on Lot and his daughters. Point talking about justification. In Genesis we read how Lot's daughters justified sinning. They clearly knew it was a sin, but reasoned it would be ok just this one time.

And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth: Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father. (Genesis 19:31 - 32).

They had been through quite alot. When we go through awful things in this world, we want to reason and "justify" our actions even when we know they are sinful. Not sure this is really fear leads to sin ... it is more likely sinful reasoning leads to more sin. His daughters likely were sinful in Sodom and had sinful desires. Bible says Lot was a righteous man with different outcome than Job. Thoughts yesterday about Jesus never tried to justify why people sinned, ...he did this because he had sores, or he sinned as he needed 30 pieces of silver, or Adam sinned because he loved his wife. Sin is sin, bible clearly points this out all the time, never justifies it. Need to study what is the real meaning of " Righteous Man". Bible calls Lot this and Job. This is old testament times, which I think would mean continually offerred sacrifices for his sins, so he recognized sin in his life and sacrificed for it. Translate to modern time, we have it easier and say Christ died for our sins. Are we truly repented of our sins. Types of sins, or should I say different ways we sin.

Morning church service hear about Moabite wanting curse On israel. Instead send 4 women to bring false Gods to israel.

One if the sons Lots daughter was Moab who was father of moabites.

10.07.2022 Jesus asks who do we say he is, then in Revelations he shows us who he is.

10.05.2022 Sometimes we need let storm pass and quit holding onto it. 32 years and storm wiped everything out. Whining about doesn't rebuild. We rebuild from scratch... pick ourselves up. Get up, gird up your loins bible says. Quit reliving the storm.

10.04.2022 Things happen on spiritual battelfield .. we get injured.. sometimes friendly fire is not so accidental (reference David - murder) and those that love us rush in to save us from the battle (or not in case generals wife), protect us and do and say things in heat of battle that actually hurt us more. We lay there shouting "Don't save me...let me go". We don't want them to get hurt. In the end we all get hurt .... the wounds in the battle are too deep. How do we recover? Somethings were amputated spiritually, and will never be the same. In this life ... we long for those glory days... but they are gone... never to be the same.

10.03.2022 Give God praise TODAY (tonite) for the battle victory, relationships healing...laying down weapons...peace treaty. Satan tries still.

10.02.2022 Morning thoughts. song " I Will Carry You" by Ellie Holcomb. The words when you put shield down. I will pick it up. I will shield you. David, exhausted...brothers picked up..spouse pickup.fight the battle with satan. This day was God's victory.

As Christians we hear put on the armour. do we really hear pickup others shield?

Thought on Job Study...friends should have acted the way Abraham did to Lot.. Talked to God on Lots behalf, asked God to save him and family. Jobs friends should have prayed to God on his behalf. It doesn't mention that they sat and prayed with Job for seven days, maybe they did who knows. Of course, even with Abraham pleading with God on Lot's behalf, it still didn't turn out well for Lot. Wife turned back and turned into a pillar of salt. Daughter slept with father. Lot sinned by getting drunk, loss of senses.

Other notes ... Job. We find ourselves justifying sins ... like Lot's daughters... we need to repopulate the earth and sleep with their father. Its ok to sin, to do good is their wrong thought.
