For What?
I would like to be remembered not for what I have done, but for what God has done for me. Had thought about making a website www.GodisMikesSaviour.com.
Scattered Thoughts in Journal.
Adam challenged God - kicked out of the Garden. Blamed it on the woman that you made.
Moses challenged God - Not allowed to enter the promised land.
God's Sovereignty versus free will.
Public prayer is very challenging. Feel like need make words, and don't even know
why feel that way. Anxiety creates these expectations that our words are to others and
not to God when in public.
Then feel like the heathen, reciting words, or preaching to God as if he doesn't know the
bible. It is like we are saying Listen to Me, I know what to do.
Heathen Pray ... vain repetition
Hypocrite Pray ... Notice me.
Prayer comes from the heart.
I feel like public prayers should be more personal. Should pray more from the heart. Somewhat like
Father, my Friend.
God Has a purpose for me --- perfect purpose. (God can't make an imperfect purpose).
Watching TV show (BYU ...lady) --- at the tomb Mary didn't recognize Jesus until he said her name. Part of my testimony is I didn't know Christ until he said my name. "I was your friend Mike". Those words that opened up my eyes, on my sins, my need for a saviour.
Another story---Jesus didn't respond to woman at first, tested her faith. Didn't tell her to depart, ...dogs tested her faith more---she passed and healing. (daughter possessed)
Often times in our private prayers we are just praying for our needs. Father, ... I, I, I, or we, we, we. We just pray needs rather than truly talking with God. We should recognize Gods power in our prayers also. Thine, Thine, Thine shows God has all the power in our prayer. We have no control over the situation, whatever it may be.
Thank you, God, for all the blessings in my life.
