The shepherd looks upon his sheep.

Luke 22:54-62
54 Then took they him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest's house. And Peter followed afar off.
59 And about the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this fellow also was with him: for he is a Galilaean.
The Lord Turned
Has the Lord turned and looked upon you? Have you ever been burdened? The Spirit burdening you, is the Lord looking upon you. Bible references Spirit bringing all things to remembrance. In verse 56, "... certain maid" was looking at Peter. Verse 58, "... another saw him". Verse 59, "... another confidently affirmed". We need to be reminded that there are others watching us as christians. Scriptures tell us we are the salt of the earth, we are in contact with the world. When we are in contact and do Gods will, it is as a sweet savour. But when we don't do Gods will, and deny him, then it is just salt bad taste.
We can get stuck on failures like Judas. Bible says Satan came into Judas. He can overcome us if we don't turn. What a message world needs to hear. Being christian is not us succeeding, not us not needing salvation, not us not sinning. It is us turning to Christ. World says we are hypocrite and sees the bad taste of salt. Satan says your flavour is ruined forever, you failed. Christ says I forgive you, and puts you in situations again.
Will Satan Hinder You
Do we find ourselves following Christ "...afar off"? Satan uses our "afar off" with those watching us. He knows we are at our weakest when away from Christ. We can have good intentions, but when the test comes, how do we respond? We follow our flesh. We sin either from weakness of flesh or Satans temptations and trials.
When the Lord looks upon us, is the Holy Spirit reminding us, showing us our sins? We can either deny the burden, or repent. A contrite heart...reference God esteems.... Does it end there? Can we be like Judas and not turn to Christ. We should turn like Jesus turned above and look at Jesus, the one who died for our sins. Christ built his church on Peter. Satan would have us like Judas, not accept the sacrifice. Judas wept and killed himself, he looked into himself for the sacrifice, what he could do. He gave money back, it wasn't enough. Peter repented and turned to Christ, not himself.
Let us seek God's wisdom, and know that we can always turn to him. When we win, let us to truly see our sins, and have a contrite heart, and then truly turn from our sins to Jesus sacrifice for forgiveness. We are thankful and praise your God's love towards us.
