ROUGH DRAFT
NOV 17, 2024
Thus saith the Lord, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest? For all these things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word. Isaiah 66:1-2.
Watched video of who does God admire. Need read up on more. Thought it was a good reference in bible. In the video, they reference who does God esteem.
ROUGH definition:
...contrite ... truly ...deeply repented.
Around October/November 2023, when felt God opening my understanding of certain scriptures and relevance in my spiritual life, he also started leading me to an answer of struggles with public prayer. It felt as if when a teenager was infatuated with girls couldn't talk with them, couldn't put any words together. Never really felt like this was the right answer though, but pointing in a direction. As I heard this video, the "...trembleth at my word..." jumped out to me.
Really never can explain. I know I have social anxiety issues, but doesn't really feel like that in public prayers. I am very careful when quoting scriptures, when feel God moving in my life I look to scriptures to see if it is backed up, not just feelings. In a way when I pray publicly, I feel that the anxiety of the situation leads me to misspeak, and I don't want to do that with God's word. I don't want to be nervous and rush through words to get through prayer. In a way "trembleth at my word" is part of the reason public prayer is difficult. Not as a sense of fear tremble, but as a deep reverence.
Other part is prayers can be deeply personal, emotional. Also I have never really studied prayer, I usually just think of it as in the closet, alone not in public. Need study up on.
Also my thoughts went to when Christ said "... I Saw You" compared to Isaiah 66:2. I will look...what a combination.
Thoughts went to when Christ said "... I Saw You" compared to "... but to this man will I look,..." Isaiah 66:2.
