A Prophesied Saviour

CHRIST’S WORDS

Luk 24:44-45 And he said unto them, These are the words which I

spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be

fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the

prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Then opened he their

understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

Joh 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have

eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

PROPHESIED BIRTH

Mic 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little

among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth

unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been

from of old, from everlasting.

Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the

government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be

called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting

Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isa 7:14-16 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign;

Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his

name Immanuel. Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know

to refuse the evil, and choose the good. For before the child shall

know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou

abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.

Isa 60:6 The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries

of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall

bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the

LORD.

Jer 23:5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise

unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and

prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

Psa 72:10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring

presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.

Jer 31:15 Thus saith the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah,

lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children

refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not.

FULFILLED BIRTH

Luk 2:4-21 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city

of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called

Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)

To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.

And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accom-

plished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her

firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him

in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. 8

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the

field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And, lo, the angel

of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone

round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10 And the angel

said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of

great joy, which shall be to all people :11 For unto you is born this

day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12

And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped

in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.13 And suddenly there

was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God,

and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace,

good will toward men. 15 And it came to pass, as the angels were

gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to

another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing

which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.

16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and

the babe lying in a manger. 17 And when they had seen it, they

made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning

this child. 18 And all they that heard it wondered at those things

which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all

these things, and pondered them in her heart. 20 And the

shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things

that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them 21 And

when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the

child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the

angel before he was conceived in the womb.

Luk 1:31-35 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and

bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32 He shall be

great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God

shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall

reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there

shall be no end. 34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this

be, seeing I know not a man? :35 And the angel answered and said

unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of

the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing

which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Mat 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel

of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son

of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which

is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.:21 And she shall bring

forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save

his people from their sins. 22 Now all this was done, that it might

be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son,

and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted

is, God with us. 24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the

angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:

25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son:

and he called his name JESUS.

Luk 1:30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou

hast found favour with God.:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive

in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest:

and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father

David: :33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever;

and of his kingdom there shall be no end. 34 Then said Mary unto

the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? 35 And

the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come

upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee:

therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be

called the Son of God. 36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she

hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month

with her, who was called barren. 37 For with God nothing shall

be impossible. 38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the

Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed

from her.

Mat 2:1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the

days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the

east to Jerusalem, 2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the

Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to

worship him. 3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he

was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. 4 And when he had

gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he

demanded of them where Christ should be born. :5 And they said

unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the

prophet, :6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the

least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a

Governor, that shall rule my people Israel. 7 Then Herod, when he

had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what

time the star appeared. :8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and

said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye

have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and

worship him also. 9 When they had heard the king, they departed;

and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till

it came and stood over where the young child was.10 When they

saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. 11 And when

they were come into the house, they saw the young child with

Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when

they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts;

gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. 12 And being warned of God

in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into

their own country another way. 13 And when they were departed,

behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream,

saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee

into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod

will seek the young child to destroy him. 14 When he arose, he

took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into

Egypt: 15 And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be

fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out

of Egypt have I called my son. 16 Then Herod, when he saw that

he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent

forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all

the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the

time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men. 17 Then

was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying,

18 In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping,

and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would

not be comforted, because they are not. 19 But when Herod was

dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph

in Egypt, 20 Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his

mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which

sought the young child's life. 21 And he arose, and took the young

child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel. 22 But

when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of

his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding,

being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of

Galilee: 23 And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that

it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall

be called a Nazarene.

PROPHETS - CHRIST DEATH

Isa 42:2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be

heard in the street.

Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and

between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou

shalt bruise his heel.

Psa 68:18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity

captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious

also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.

Zec 11:12 And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my

price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty

pieces of silver. 13 And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the

potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the

thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of

the LORD.

Zec 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the

inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications:

and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they

shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall

be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Zec 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of

Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and

having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the

foal of an ass.

Psa 22:16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the

wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

17 I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me. 18 They

part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

Psa 69:21 They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst

they gave me vinegar to drink.

Psa 22

FULFILLED - CHRIST DEATH

Mat 12:17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias

the prophet, saying, 18 Behold my servant, whom I have chosen;

my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit

upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles. 19 He shall

not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the

streets.

Joh 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that

came down from heaven, eventhe Son of man which is in heaven.

Joh 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet

ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I

ascend unto my Father, and your Father; andto my God, and your

God.

Eph 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led

captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

Mat 26:15 And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will

deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty

pieces of silver.

Joh 19:28 After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now

accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.

29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a

spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his

mouth. 30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said,

It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. 31

The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies

should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that

sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might

be broken, and that they might be taken away. 32 Then came the

soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was

crucified with him. 33 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that

he was dead already, they brake not his legs: 34 But one of the

soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out

blood and water. :35 And he that saw it bare record, and his record

is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe. 36

For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled,

A bone of him shall not be broken. 37 And again another scripture

saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.

Joh 19:23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took

his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also

his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top

throughout. 24 They said therefore among themselves, Let us not

rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture

might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among

them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore

the soldiers did.

PROPHETS - CHRIST PURPOSE

Isa 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of

the LORD revealed? 2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender

plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor

comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we

should desire him. 3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of

sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our

faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we

did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he

was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our

iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with

his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray;

we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid

on him the iniquity of us all. :7 He was oppressed, and he was

afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to

the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he

openeth not his mouth. :8 He was taken from prison and from

judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off

out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was

he stricken. 9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with

the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was

any deceit in his mouth. 10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise

him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an

offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and

the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand 11 He shall see

of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge

shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their

iniquities. 12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great,

and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath

poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the

transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession

for the transgressors.

Thank you, God, for all the blessings in my life.
